It’s even possible to cancel the aiming of the Sorcery by pressing either gauntlet’s spell button. While in the air, aim your Sorcery without fully castingit and you’ll notice your character stays hovering for 5 seconds without consuming mana. If you’ve ever seen a player levitate a lot longer than you thought should be possible, they might have been Sorcery Hovering (there’s no official name at the moment, but that’s what I call it). Each class utilizes mana differently some focus more on movement, others focus on gauntlets and spells. Mana is both a movement resource and a damage resource, meaning it’s more akin to a stamina bar in Dark Souls than to ammo in a shooter.

Many people don’t know how to manage their mana, or haven’t even considered its importance in Spellbreak, which may be a big reason why you’re underperforming or feel like you can’t get an exile, even if your positioning is great. It is much more difficult to aim at flying targets, so keeping your opponent below you will make it easier to predict their movement. In general, your best bet is to have the high ground. Should you be on top of the hill? In the air? Or maybe hiding behind those rocks? The player who has the better positioning to utilize their gauntlet’s strength while minimizing its weaknesses will always win. Spellbreak is not a twitch shooter winning is less about how quickly you can aim (a la Call of Duty, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Apex Legends) and more about where your character is relative to your opponent’s.
